Okay, I'm officially bored! Ideally, at this hour of the night I'm supposed to be fast asleep like 'normal' people, but my clock is the antithesis of the conventional. I don't know if this is something that comes along with being an engineering student because being here on campus, it does feel orderly to sleep in the wee hours of the morning and wake up well past sun- rise. Of course when I go home, I'm just considered unorthodox since I wake up after all the morning liveliness and after everyone has left for work.
When the semester commenced in January, I used to sleep early and wake up early like a good kid. But that was when the schedule was all rosy. Then it started, something that this college is best at... the seemingly never- ending concatenation of tutorials and tests. Continuous evaluation just took over my routine. Being a last minute studier, night outs were inevitable and here I am with a busted sleep cycle!
But wait, I am practically free of academic evaluation for the next 15 days!! Now, doesn't that sound pleasant and exciting? My friends don't even bother asking what's up at my end these days. They know better than to ask me that. So now, I have to actually tell people I don't have tests instead of telling them I'm busy because I have a test the next day.
So what is it that keeps me off the hook of pop quizzes for the next 15 days? Our upcoming Technical Festival. It probably has a good ring to it because it is a festival after all which in lay man's terms involves fun, frolic and entertainment but unlucky for me, it pertains to all technical stuff. No matter how many times I might have tried to convince myself and others that its fun and interesting, its sadly not. I'm definitely not a TECHIE. And yet, I am working on projects and papers to keep up with the system and not stay aloof. So there goes another soporific fortnight!
