Introspection

Alone he walked along the sandy beach
Watching the waves rise up and die down
Strong wind lashing against the salty sea
Reminding him of his very situation
With the only difference of not rising up at all.

He saw children laughing, playing, making castles from the dazzling yellow sand,
Mothers shouting behind them to not go astray
Old women sitting around in circles- gossiping, enjoying the pink sky reflected in crystal clear waters
Reminding him of the childhood he left far behind
Which may not be worth remembering after all.

As he watched hawkers and vendors calling out to people
He thought of how he would earn his daily bread
And all he could see was an empty road ahead.
After all, how wrong can a person have possibly been all along?
To face the world as he does now.

Though it makes me REALLY sad! but i'm guessing that was the intention and it works :)
